An afternoon with the river

Admit it: most of us love rivers. The continuous flow, the usually clear water, the blissful sound - together, they make us a little sleepy, a little less realist. A river makes us wonder about the bigger aspects of nature, it faintly reminds us about our old, almost-forgotten connections with the universe: clean, green, uninterrupted. So, a visit to the river is always a chance I look forward to.
A humble opportunity came towards us when me and my friends went to the river, the Kangsabati, near Medinipur, West Bengal, India. The river, flowing gently through the outskirts of the city, can be easily mistaken as a shallow stream for most months. But still, a visit to her brings a fresh change to our otherwise mundane routine. It makes us refreshed.
We enjoyed ourselves, got ourselves wet, felt the touch of water and the breeze, and did some work, that we had to do for a ecological study, for a blog. you can see the ecological survey post here:

At last, at the end of the day, we came back contented, and thoughtful.
So what did we take back with us? of course, memories to cherish, feelings to share.
